Role overview:
This is a varied and rewarding role, combining people management, logistics coordination, operational leadership, and continuous improvement. The Wash Centre and Logistics Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and overall performance of the wash centre, ensuring reusable cups are washed, inspected, stored, and distributed efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and customer service.
Leading a dedicated team of permanent employees, supported by agency staff during peak periods, the Wash Centre and Logistics Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of major events across the UK.
Main duties:
Lead and motivate a team of operational staff, fostering a positive, high-performing culture focused on teamwork and continuous improvement.
Oversee wash centre operations, ensuring washing, inspection, quality control, storage, and dispatch activities are delivered efficiently and to the highest standards.
Plan and optimise transport operations, coordinating delivery and collection schedules to ensure reliable, timely, and cost-effective logistics.
Champion a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence, ensuring compliance with company policies and legislation.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, service delivery, and operational effectiveness.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members to achieve operational targets.
Sound knowledge of health and safety practices within a warehouse or logistics environment.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Working Hours:
Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm.
Flexibility is required to support operational demands, particularly during peak event periods:
Occasional weekend working, additional hours or split shifts may be required
