Winner of several innovation awards, Re-uz (and in particular Ecocup® by Re-uz) has historically dedicated itself to musical, cultural and sporting events (notably the Rugby World Cup, the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Stade de France, international tours).
Our business is diversifying into other segments, notably commercial and institutional catering, where reusable solutions and associated services (collection, sorting and washing) are also offered.
We are looking for an Accounts Manager, who will report to the Operations Director of our company Re-uz Belgium. Re-uz Belgium operates from two sites (Grâce-Hollogne and Sint-Niklaas) and has 30 permanent employees.
Our main activities are the marketing, logistics, washing and storage of reusable products ranging from cups to takeaway containers. We sell, manage and hire several brands, including Ecocup®, Re-uz®, Billie® and Kio by Re-uz®. We have just acquired the Festicup and Goodless groups.
Main responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Operations Director and with a direct operational link to the Group's finance team, you will be the company's accounting manager. You will have internal contacts with all Group employees and external contacts with customers, suppliers, banks and financial auditors.
You will integrate recent acquisitions and help to harmonise them with the Group model, with a view to merging the Belgian entities.
You will be responsible for the general accounting of the Belgian companies and for preparing the Group's monthly reports. You will manage the annual closings.
You will be responsible for or supervise the following operations:
- Accounting for all supplier and customer invoices, ensuring compliance with contracts and that all obligations to suppliers, vendors and others are met in a timely manner;
- Issuing all supplier payments;
- Oversee the continuous improvement of internal financial policies and systems to enhance operational capability and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, in collaboration with the Group;
- Accounting for customer receipts and restarting receipts where necessary;
- Preparing and paying salaries;
- Posting month-end and year-end entries.
- Preparing the Group's monthly reports;
- Cash management;
- You will also be in charge of financial projects such as finalising the implementation of a new ERP system (Odoo) to improve flows, structure and make financial data more reliable.
- Management and supervision of 2 FTEs.
Profile required
With an accounting background, you will have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role, ideally in an international context.
You will have experience of evaluating accounting and internal control methods and financial reports.
You are pragmatic, with the ability to work in an international environment and you have good communication skills with the group and locally.
You are recognised for your ability to solve financial problems by making coherent recommendations based on your knowledge and experience in finance.
You are recognised for your adaptability, analytical skills and ability to summarise.
You are proactive, you are appreciated for your communication skills, and you are able to anticipate operational issues.
Given the Group's international context, a level of professional English is required and Dutch is compulsory.
